“A Night Out for Music Heals” Seeking Participation from Live Music Clubs to benefit Music Therapy
Music Heals is seeking venues to participate in their annual event “A Night Out for Music Heals” on Saturday March 5th as a part of Music Therapy Awareness Month in Canada.
The event’s participating bars, clubs and pubs donate $1 from every cover charge (or equivalent for those that do not charge cover) with all proceeds supporting music therapy programs in the home province of each venue. Last year over 50 bars in 15 cities across Canada joined in.
Music Heals is a registered Canadian charity that raises money and awareness for music therapy in Canada, and has donated nearly a half million dollars to music therapy programs across the country in just three years. These programs serve seniors, children, palliative care, autism, dementia, burn units, AIDS & HIV, bereavement, rehabilitation, and more.
