Mundial Montreal and M for Montreal
Founded in 2011, Mundial Montreal is North America’s world music summit. Taking place annually, Mundial operates as a springboard for some of the best world music talent emerging from Canada and beyond, while acting as a key entry point for the North American market.
The 8th edition of Mundial Montreal takes place November 13-16, 2018, in downtown Montreal, with the programming theme Mosaic Music. Mundial brings together more than 300 delegates to dance, listen, share, and learn from one other. Delegates are able to spend quality time together throughout the four days of non-competing activities, developing meaningful connections with each other and building long-term business relationships. A key feature of the event is the World Routes Network, an extensive network of 100+ presenters from Canada and beyond who meet to share information, discuss block-booking, and discover new artists.
For several years, Mundial Montreal has been at the forefront in helping to create opportunities for Indigenous artists through its Indigenous Sounds series, which highlights artists throughout the program, as well as offering panel discussions and networking activities aimed at building bridges towards larger audiences.
Mundial Montreal official showcasing artists come from across Canada, from PEI to BC all the way up to Nunavut, as well as a consistent international contingent of artists from across the pond, click HERE to view the full musical program.

M for Montreal:
Founded in 2006 by Sebastien Nasra (Avalanche Productions) in collaboration with legendary British programmer Martin Elbourne (Glastonbury Festival, The Great Escape and co-founder of the WOMAD Festival along with Peter Gabriel ), M for Montreal is much than just a yearly event. “M” is a not-for-profit organization that has given itself the missions of helping emerging artists get discovered and advancing their careers. Since 2006, M has not only carved a place for itself at the heart of Montreal’s cultural life, but also on the international circuit of music industry showcases. M occupies a key role within the local industry as much for emerging local artists as those from outside Quebec, and has established itself as the most important springboard for Québécois music export in the world.
